sparkloft’s full-time writer was headed out on paternity leave, so elissa brought me in to cover the tillamook account in the meantime. i worked with the sparkloft team to concept social media mini-campaigns and create posts over about a two-month period. when their full-time writer returned, the team transitioned me off of tillamook but retained me for several more months to help on other projects out of the portland and atlanta offices.

additional projects

the columbia metropolitan airport in columbia s.c. made a 30-second tv ad right before covid hit. the original voiceover script was problematic from the get-go ("your trip begins now!") so they asked me to rewrite it. they didn't want to tell people to be afraid and stay home, but they also didn't want to be too cavalier about promoting air travel in the summer of 2020. also, they didn't have the budget for a reshoot. i retrofitted a script to match the existing footage shot-for-shot and told a more general, aspirational, travel story. we were all pretty pleased with how this came out.

one of several infographics i concepted and wrote for usa pears.
